Hickory (American walnut)

The hickory is a tree that grows in the areas ranging from the top, mid Mississippi basin up to the Great Lakes region, reaching the Atlantic coast. The trunks of this tree reach an average height of 30 metres, with a diameter that, at breast height, is up to 120 cm. The wood, with its special charm, considered stylish, yet durable and solid, has shades of darker colours, compared to the European walnut. It features the flexibility and aesthetic qualities.
